About Family Solutions of PA
Here at Family Solutions of Pennsylvania we do not consider ourselves just an organization, but rather a living, breathing organism. Everyday we are growing and developing in our efforts to discover and create the solutions needed for every member of your family to be successful.
Family Solutions of PA (FSPA) was formed as a charitable organization in February 2007 and is located in Allentown, PA in an area known as the Lehigh Valley. Until a formal office is established in early 2008, the FSPA office will be located at 631 Turner Street in Allentown. Our basic mission is to meet the needs of our community in areas relating to the overall well-being of the family unit, dealing first with Healthy Marriage Family Education.
Why start with Healthy Marriage Family Education? No one can answer that question better than our founder, Dr. Jim McIver, Sr. Through the years, Dr. McIver has counseled hundreds of couples from his congregation and the community. It is his firm belief that many of the problems in the home, including issues to do with money and children, stem from the decisions parents have made about marriage. Dr. McIver believes that many singles and couples could have made better decisions and led better lives if they had been given the right tools and information to do so.
Maybe you are wondering, what do we mean by Healthy Marriage Family Education? Education is not always books and tests. The best education is often the things learned n everyday settings from others who have lived life successfully. In March 2008 Family Solutions of PA will begin to offer programs to the community that will deal with real life family issues in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Each session will be conducted by someone who has successful experience in the area being addressed.
